Quinta do Barradas Wines
With great passion for the wine art, we decided to plant in 2006 a vineyard with the wine grapes of Touriga Nacional, Syrah and Aragonês. Four years later occurs the first harvest, already showing from the start great quality. Our quinta is located in the noble region of Algarve designated make excellent wine productions. It´s situated in the south of Silves at a height of 60 meters with predominance of north winds that are favorable to fresher wines. All of the work in our vineyard is manual-our pruning is set to about 40 per cent, in order to achieve the best best wine possible and always following the great adage that says the wine is done in the vineyard. Years later, in 2014, we decided to invest in our Syrah grapes wine variety Quinta de Barradas Reserva Syrah. A single-variety wine with round tannis and of great elegance was then born. A wine fermented in controlled temperatures with 18 month aging in french oak barrels. Nowadays, Quinta do Barradas has a notorious wine offer: white, rosé, red selection, red Reserva and red Reserva Syrah. In 2017 we were rewarded by the Algarve Wine Challenge, with the gold medal for the Quinta do Barradas Selection and the great gold medal, as best wine of the Algarve, for the Quinta do Barradas Reserva. This year we were rewarded again by the Algarve Wine Challenge, with the gold medal for the Quinta do Barradas Reserva 2018, and the silver medal for the Quinta do Barradas Selection 2018 and Quinta do Barradas Reserva Syrah 2018.
